The French Connection by Jason Stewart

So its been awhile a lot of music and genres later i arrive in the heavy psych stoner doom arena and i came across a fairly new band MARS RED SKY from France the music speaks for itself but this music video is tidy remembering the long lost art of the frisbee i’m all in

In the loop by Jason Stewart

So there from Japan and they got a vibe a serious one at that full tension dubbed way out almost paranoid into the void style where your mind will wander way off , props for their crazy looping live play , they definitely need to score some films that would be tight, no doubt it would be dark and hella futuristic, its not for everyone but these ladies got skillz!

Girl on a horse of course! by Jason Stewart

So being a fan of the Deftones since day dot seen them progress and know their formula which works so well and with an impressive back catalogue of music videos to check there are two videos to this song , i like this one more for its simplicity , just a badass beautiful girl on a horse with some desert views perfect in my eyes and its always about the girl and her set mood and drama so check it out!

The Craft is Real! by Jason Stewart

Some how i only found out about her last year under the name Io Echo the song Stalemate has haunted me since so this definitely caught my attention not an over the top music video but the devil is in the details let the ritual begin!

MORE STYLES* by Jason Stewart

Now being an old skool b boy who can hit the floor when taunted i can fully appreciate this ! the level is high even tho i’m not quite down with some of i’m just gonna do some power moves and that’s it , you really gotta be versatile but have an original style and catch that break , and there is some insane shit on here , more styles for sure. im partial to the japanese crew tho. Ready for battle!

Take it to Heart! by Jason Stewart

A Yo! the track alone is one of sexiest numbers out there , you can envision a sultry striptease or a feverish dream or a moody as comedown , a perfect collab between the man like The Bridge and They Live and the Colombian connection Poison Arrow , i hope there is more to come ,now the video is on point she always seems to have that alluring suggestive look down pat with some tribal , dream sequence and performance art in with the outfit hopefully a short film is in the works either way this is tight! wouldn’t expect anything but the best from the Exit camp always True to the Craft!

Poison Arrow str8 to the Heart by Jason Stewart

So when i first heard if you don’t love me i was like What!let alone the tune but the visuals ,very very slick!like the backlit kali shot! Now this video is smoove , you get a sense of whats next as that uneasy vibe builds in the Cantina its sexy and creepy at the same time playin with those voyeurisms ,whether Mrs Escobar is the madame i don’t know , Shit is tight , looking fwd to hearing the rmxs by HeartDrive aka dbridge and Kid Drama! Full length lp yes please with more story telling like this!

GhostTides Selection Vol 0 by Jason Stewart

So i compiled a bunch of music videos of some artists i like similar theme running through the selection some old some new , i like so much music i try to separate genres but its nearly impossible sometimes and i could have put a few more in here but fan made videos most of the time don’t make the cut, Ghost Tides Selection vol 0! enjoy!

Its almost that time again! by Jason Stewart

Im not gonna lie i like my black and purple and some red and this tune right here is an anthem in the goth scene but you knew that ! starts with a kinda dubwise beat then goes straight in with that lingering sound , all in with some tape echo and some reverb ! And the song was in that movie The Hunger were Bowie plays the vampire , And so it goes dark as the night and all that spooky shit Bela Lugosi’s Dead!

Toni,Toni,Toni! by Jason Stewart

Toni Halliday! what can i say that voice ,The look kinda Siouxsie Sioux minus the makeup, but Curve as a band at that time was well ahead of its fellow bands, Dean Garcia liked his beats, And they had that sound maybe a little cleaner sounding than M.B.V. Got to see them live in Boston they opened for Jesus and the Mary Chain and yes Curve set it off !

Double Down by Jason Stewart

No pun intended now the Deftones don’t really fit into the genre they skirt around it a bit but this music video reminds of Into The Void among other things the content well you’ll see , still its got that dreamy borderline shit going on ,but a good tune nonetheless ! sorta similar to the last one below !

THAT SOUND TO VISUAL THING! by Jason Stewart

So as a starter i’m gonna post music videos that relate to the ghost tides style and feel and maybe non related sounds too cause i’m all over the shop! first up is NOTHING an american band thats got that Nu SHOE Gaze thing going on with a harder edge too, as per usual and standard there is something water related in the video maybe even a portal to another world , i dunno but i do like it! Don’t sleep on this band , they are good!
